Training in Milange

Milange is a small village in Zambézia, a province located in the Center of Mozambique, 1000 miles 1600 km) from Maputo, near the Malawi border.

We left Maputo last week on Saturday, flying to Quelimane and then driving 220 miles (350 km) for 6 hours to Milange. the last 62 miles (100 km) are an incredible 2 hours adventure on a unpaved road with no lights in any village that we need to cross. Here the real Mozambique.

Sunday starts with a wonderful african landscape, with the Malawi mountains in the background. In Milange, cycling is the main transportation method and knowing how to ride a bicycle is almost so important as breathing...

Our training started on Monday with 28 leaders of 22 children/youth clubs from 14 different rural communities. This training was a partnership with a local organization Espanor, a christian organizations working in sustainable development and community transformation.

Loved and Lover

Abigail (from Traverse City, MI) is a young missionary girl who decided to give almost 3 months of her life to serve the children with cancer admitted at the Hospital here in Maputo, Mozambique.

Loved and lover, as she tells on her blog, it's one of the most amazing things to give us significance in life.

Here, near the patients, this is the most rewarding mission we can have. That's why we need more missionaries like Abigail. Thanks, Abi!
